A dashboard should be a window into your data, not a workspace
A solo builder describes running his whole practice from two folders — one for context, one for deployables — with an agent on top and a custom dashboard that is deliberately read-only. You do not drag boxes around in it; you look at your data and then instruct the agent to act against it. The interface is a window, not a workspace.
In favour- Context lives in plain files you own and back up; the model is rented, the knowledge is not. Point any agent at the folder and it knows your business.
- Nobody keeps a CRM current because manual entry is tedious — so let the agent fill it from call transcripts and emails, and keep the screen for reading, not data entry.
- "Talk to it instead of clicking" is a real shift, but editing and deploying by voice puts credentials and irreversible actions one sentence away — that needs guardrails.
- The method is genuine and also a product being sold; take the workflow, leave the hype about having "ascended past websites".
Our takeThe keeper is a design rule, not a stack: build interfaces you orchestrate against, not ones you click around in. It fits anyone whose context already lives in files they own.
