Nobody noticed, because half of it cannot be checked

A 15-minute documentary declares that the singularity has already happened. Run its claims through one filter, "can I verify this?", and it splits in two: things on the public record (published essays, resignations, stated risk estimates, a real trend toward AI paired with formal proof-checkers) and cinematic specifics with no source you can open.

In favour
  • It is a clean specimen of how manufactured certainty works: true things placed next to unverifiable ones, until the glow of the checked transfers to the unchecked.
  • The idea buried inside is genuine: a proof-checker can certify a result no human can reconstruct. Verification without comprehension is a real shift.
Worth watching
  • The video praises machine-verified truth while asking you to accept its own claims unverified.
  • Named models, named people, precise numbers: precision is not evidence, and it is the easiest thing to fabricate.
Our takeWhen something arrives already certain, ask which part of it you could actually check. Usually far less than the confidence implies. Verify the machine, and verify the video about the machine.
